okk sooo i have a spare 6bolt im gonna go get machined. i wanna throw a stroker in and if i do i was gonna do a 2.0 stroker. now im not sure about this whole stroker thing i have no pro"s or cons ive heard so far and if i do go with a stroker should i just go with a 2.3 stroker. im stuck and need some help thanks everyone

Any of them will be fine, 2.1-2.4 (i dont know if they have any bigger)

now when you say 2.1 thats not standard size pistons used right. this kit im looking at is a 2.0 stroker i i think it comes with a 4g64 crank and stock size pistons

Well, it seems you need to do a lot more research before building the engine.

A 2.0 is the stock configuration, not a stroker.

You can build a 2.3 stroker (2.4 crank in a 2.0 block). Good for more low end torque, but can't rev as high as a 2.0 can.

You can build a 2.4 (2.4 block and crank). More low end torque, but again can't rev as high.

You can build a 2.1 (2.0 crank in a 2.4 block). You can rev to the moon with this!

You can even go larger with a 2.6 kit from Brian Crower.

There are alot of different stroker options in general for our cars but for the 4g63 it is most common to do the 2.3... Now you can destroke the 4g64 with the 4g63 crank to make a 2.1... There are a ton of different combos LOL but the 2.3 is the most common

Well you beat me to it LOL.. Really you can rev that 2.3 pretty high as long as it is balanced and you have head work to support it... 7500 is very doable and proven in the 2.3 ams strokers that go into the evos

thanx man ive built many motors just never done a stroker before. but awesome break down

ok so ive been looking into the stroker stuff a little more and its confusing the shit out of me haha im thinking of just going with regular rods and pistons and not stroking it... how does this plan sound
