what to do with 2500 dollars?

basically i have 2500dollars to spend on parts for my new gst. i dont want any suspension stuff yet basically i want to spend it on the motor. Ive been around the dsm world for awhile but i want to know your guys' opinion to get the most for my money.. i know the usual intake, dp, exaust, but which turbo do you guys recommend for my application and which manual boost controllers are the easiest to use (ive used some that are very hard to use)... just anything that would help would be awesome
 
for a 16g you will need some extra peices that you dont need for the t28 install, cost for a good evo16g install is a bit over 1000$, t28 install was about 150 less for me which is why i chose it over the 16g.. i needed a turbo quick, and the performance difference isnt much supposedly. the main difference between the two is that the outlet is in a different position on the 16g than it is on the t28/25, you need a j pipe to connect it to the intercooler.
 
Ok. I'm not a GST owner, so I'm not 100% on this, but my understanding is that the more turbo lag, the better for FWD. I'd personally take the time to prep your car properly (bushings, sways, shocks/springs, etc) to actually hook your tires first, then concentrate on your "stage 1"/logging stuff, and that should about exhaust your $2500.

The next purchase would be the biggest turbo possible so that you kick ass on your top end (where wheel-spin is not an issue) and eat highway racers alive.
 
fastest for 2500 bucks would be lots of decent used parts.
Used BOV, intake, FMIC, injectors, fuel pump, logger, SAFC etc.

And isnt the evo16g like $499-550 brand new at a few shops. Much cheaper then the t28. The installation kit is a waste of money as shown in the 14b homebrew install tech article so dont give me that you need a 300 dollar install kit crap.

Id probaly go bigger then a 16g in your case.
Also,used fuel pumps and injectors go for very cheap.
Just a thought.

Sure FP pulled 11's out of thier full wieght, fully built, cammed and modded AWD vehicle, and it does prove if you have all this stuff you too can grab 11's. My FWD spyder didn't run 11s on the Big28, yours wouldn't either. The starter of this thread is looking to run 12's, i havent heard of any FWD vehicle doing this on the Big28. As for it being the same as the big 16g, it's not. The wheel sizes are similar, it will flow very similar cfms as the big 16g, the 28 will spool quicker but the big 16g will still have better topend pull which is what us FWD guys want remember?
 
ok i guess im really confused now.. i thought i saw a evo 16g on a website link from this site for like $550 or something like that... and again does anyone know how much boost is acceptable with only a fuel pump so i can be safe before i get my injectors?
