I'm gonna be getting about $1500 soon. What are your guys opinions on what I should get? I'm gonna need stuff to get rid of my fuel cut, so I'm thinking of this stuff:

Walbro 190
SAFC2
550s - what kind of injectors (denso, etc) should I get?
Eibach sportlines
KYB AGX shocks

anything else?

I think you have a pretty good list of performance mods ahead of you. However, I would consider getting different suspension mods. I would consider getting swaybars instead of shocks. The stock shocks really aren't bad. However, the stock swaybars allow for some pretty decent body roll during hard cornering.

If you decide to go with shocks, then coilovers are the way to go. However, if cost is an issue, then I would suggest getting Koni adjustable shocks. I know, they're a little more than the AGXs, but a lot of people rave about them.

Well I need shocks, or so I have been told. I know I shouldn't get just springs and no shocks because it's not gonna help any, plus my stock shocks will wear out a lot quicker. Plus, I'm not really into handeling, so I basicly just wanna drop it.

I forgot to ask, where do you guys suggest getting this stuff from?

I would go for Tein Basic Dampers:

www.slowboyracing.com

As for the S-AFC, e-bay can get you one pretty cheap, or the classifieds. A new S-AFCII runs about the same most places you look.

I would also recommend a chip to go along with that afc.

www.dsmchips.com

( can get rid of fuel cut )

Its a sweet deal for the price and can do alot.
Pocketlogger is also a good thing if you don't have one. Rewire the fuel pump is a must also.

You can run any size injector with the DSMchip, so 660cc/min would be a good choice. Diamond Star Motorsport or SBR are good places for injectors.

Will I really need the chip if I have an safc2 tho? Besides the stutter box and that kinda stuff, is it gonna do me any good?

Yes! :thumb:

You will need the S-AFCII for make fuel adjustments specific to the boost and fuel you are running. The chip makes the necessary broad adjustments to have the vehicle run correctly, but there is certainly power to be found by tuning.

Most of the options you get with the chip are very useful, I would think. The launch RPM is good for consistent ETs and 60', as well as being able to build boost in neutral.

Add to the list A/F gauge and EGT gauge.

A/F gauge is worthless. The O2 sensor is left out of fuel calculations at WOT anyway, so its just a blinking light that cost 40$. EGT is not as important as timing and fuel. If your timing is good ( and no knock ) as well as your fuel ( dyno tune with a wideband O2 ), the EGT's will be fine. You want to tune for maximum timing advance and a good A/F ratio ( on a wideband of course ), which should be around 11.0-11.8 ratio.

Ok, I don't think I am gonna get an safc2 anymore. I think I'm gonna do this:

EGT gauge
GM MAF and translator
Intake and IC pipes
550s or 650s
Koni or KYB shock
Eibach springs
walbro 190

any problems with that?

why opt for the 190? if your gonna upgrade, just go with the 255. u can always lower the pressure, but you'll have it if you need for later on. i would go with 650s+ too.

meh 2 silver pennies

150k on the body, not sure on the engine. I am getting new shocks.

koni's are good.. but i've heard pretty good things about the agx's.. i was looking into them too.. 85 bucks each... not that bad..what kind of springs were you looking at? i was thinking about the H&R sport springs

I'm getting the KYB AGX adjustables from automotosports for $400 and Eibach sportlines for $265.
