What thermo stat do you have??

I went to autozone today to pick up a thermo stat amd aksed him whats stock he said 170 degrees, so when i chnaged it, the old one said 180?? is a 170 ok to have?? what do you guys have

I have a 180, i believe that's stock. I don't think 170 will do any harm, it's gonna get hotter during the summer anyway so it will help a little.

Only potential problems with the cooler thermostat would be:

1) *possibly* getting a CEL (not sure if the ECU checks or not, other OBDII cars do)

2) Emissions testing, newer cars run hotter for emissions reasons. Can't imagine it has a big impact, but if you're borderline to begin with...
