what the 30a top fusible link is for

ok i know this is dumb but ive searched the forums and found nothing on it, but anyways i got a 96 spyder gst yesterday and the 30a top fusible link was blown, i figured it was to the convertible top but the top still works jus fine with out it, so im jus wondering what is this for? thanks alot

where is it located? aftermarket or factory? maybe a picture?

its in the fuse box under the hood by the firewall, and yes everythings completely stock, let me see if i can get a diagram pic of it

like i said, i know a fairly decent amount about dsm's and i feel completely stupid for having to ask this but i appreciate it, circled it in red
