What size s.s fuel line?

Not sure about the airflow, but I am running a PTE 50trim.Would like to boost around 25psi or so haven't really thought about that. Guess I will just see what I will be able to do with what I have, bc I'm out of money for now.

Your fuel quantities aren't dependent on boost, they're dependent on the amount of air you're flowing. On E85, a walbro will only support 42 lbs/min. 1000cc injectors will only support 45 lbs/min at 85% IDC. If you're planning on being able to use 1600cc's to their ability, you will need another external pump, and typically you want to mate that with some larger line.

Thanks for the quick answers! Well at least I know what else needs replacing then. Little confused about another inline fuel pump. do you install the pump in the line that already goes to the fuel rail, or do you install another line into the tank that splices into the line that goes to the rail?

ok guys alittle off topic but i have a small question. Im about the change my fuel line to the sbr fuel line kit because its leaking. somthing corssed my mind when i thought about it. The fuel return line runs right next to the fuel feed line under the car and they are next to two break lines correct? My thought was that it possibly could be the return line leaking and not the feed line. Is there any guide on what i would need for the return line if i have to replace it and the steps i need to do ? Im praying to god its the feed line but i wont know untill i get a fitting in friday or saterday

The siphon is a restriction, but it is needed. Without it, you would only be using half of your fuel tank. Like TRBOBLU pointed out, there was a member on the Link boards that bored it out and test it's vacuum pull each time. You can open it up to an 1/8th inch and still have the siphoning effect. Anything more than that, and you would have to remove the plastic siphon and install a secondary pump in the driver's side of the tank just to move the fuel over to the other side.

TRBOBLU - Do you know of anyone that has ever installed a secondary pump in the driver's side of the tank? I would like to read about it if you know of an article or thread.

Does anyone have pic's of the inside of a 2g tank. i want to see, I own a 1g and have a 6an to a bulkhead fitting on the tank. I'm just interested

hey are any of you guys running a sbr fuel line kit? if you are can you tell how the bolts they give you with the kit hold and stay in place? in my mind i look at them and think they should be self tapers no ?

These are from a 2g AWD.

Sorry dont have any better pics. But the space in an AWD tank is very small to mount fuel pumps(even smaller than an EVO which also sucks for space). Hope the pics help.

OK guys I know it's been discussed but I am at the point of buying fuel line AGAIN! I decided to run another walbro external pump inline. Questions I have- 1660cc injectors running E-85, should I go with 8AN or 10AN not sure about the airflow I want to run guessing as much as my turbo would put out. Right now I am running -6AN line from the tank I used an adapter to connect to the fuel pump housing male thread (stock) to -6AN male, now I am wondering can I just use an adapter to inlarge that to 8AN would that be a big restriction, or should I drill and install a bulkhead fitting into the plate that the pump is attached? Last issue again right now with the -6AN line I use my stock fuel supply line as my return, would that keep up? Or should I use my old -6AN supply line and make that a return line? If so would the stock inlet of the return line on the tank be a restriction?

Well priced everything and -8AN everything with 20' hose is $180-00. Everything -10AN is $260-00 bc you need some expanders etc to accomodate the fuel pump etc. So I just went with the -8AN setup and called it good!

What about using a -8an return and right before the fuel tank you use a tee and have it split off to a -8an bulkhead on the fuel pump housing and the stock return tube also. You guys think this will give enough flow to have the siphon fuel from the other side of the tank?

Well, i don't think anyone here is argueing if the setup works, just questioning if the 8/6 combo is as effective or more effective than a 8/8 or 6/6 combo.

I run an 8 feed and 6 return. The return only needs to be roughly 70% size of the feed line. No, I dont have written proof, it is only what I know for a fact from testing when I was a fuel systems tech at http://aedperformance.com/
