what size os tires should i get !!!

hi guys

i have a 97 gsx, stock 17'' gsx rim,never lower ### so ever. i'm runing on winter tires rite now which is 225/45/17 and i m looking to get a set of performance tire for the summer but have no ideal what size to go with,i know the factory recommend 215/50/17v to z
but i'm wondering what you guys are runing on and any suggestions!!!

How in the hell, or why in the hell are you running a 225/45 for snows?

Get a 225/45 for your summer tire. I personally like Falken RT-615

Stock rims are 6.5" wide and work better with a 215/45/17. 225's work better with a 7" wide wheel. You can make a 225 fit a 6.5, but it's not the best idea (sidewall flex and sidewall bow).
