What size is perfect for 1g FMIC, getting it custom made. You can too!!

I know this is a 1G gathering, but I am looking to run his product on my 2G. Does anyone have this yet? I just wanted to get a good idea like the rest of you guys.

If I need to be the test rat, then I guess it is so.

I'm interested in this IC as well, but the above 2G "Kit" is $695, while you can get the same core by itself for $298. That's almost $400 just for the piping! Seems pretty steep just for a few bends and some connectors. I'm thinking of asking him how much just for the bends and the core-- I'll supply my own hose clamps and silicone connectors.

I would highly advise against buying your own claps and couplers. His kit is very nice and worth every penny. You get a full kit that flows just as much as the greddy for half the price. Plus, JR uses T-bolt claps that if you were to buy yourself would be about 6 bucks a piece. Trust me this kit is great, I met JR and his goal is to provide the best FMIC kits to the dsm community at an affordable price. You'll love the kit. He prices the pipes for so much because he wants people to be able to buy a fmic w/o piping for 3-400 bucks, but also needs to make money so he bumps up the price on the total kit. I love my kit for my 1g and highly recommend his kits. Good luck which ever way you choose. Kyle

I'll get some pics when I can. Basically the kit is designed to run through the holes in the core support, you just have to make them bigger.....alot bigger. Everything will fit but it will be EXTREMELY tight. I made the judgement call and removed my a/c the same day I put in, making the install about three times as easy. Don't get me wrong I love a/c, but I can make it through the two hot months here in WA with my 2x45. The only thing I had to do was dremel a little bit off my bumper cover. I got his core that is 3.5inches deep and it wouldn't quite make it. Super simple, a novice could do it. The piping pretty much centers the fmic for you, but if you're anal about center(I was) he welded on two plates to run self tapping screws through so you can hit it dead nuts. Install took me two hours w/ a/c removal. I love this kit !!!

Sorry I didnt respond sooner...I used the two ends of the bumper support and instead of bolting the IC brackets to the bottom I bolted them from the inside of bumper support. I have some updated pics that I will post later. I also used zip ties to make the opening to the IC itself larger...again I will post better pics later. Thanks
