Okay so i recently purchased a 7 bolt engine and installed it. But when I first fired it up it started making a knocking noise, So I immediately shut the car off and dropped the pan. I found that cylinder 4 had alot of play in the rod. Here's a link to my video below. What should I due now ? the oil was clean can I fix this problem by simply replacing the bearing or will I have to pull the engine ?

Plastigauge that crankshaft. If its in spec, and if you slide your fingernail from side to side on it and it dosnt get caught put some new bearings in it. Make sure its torqued to spec and use some damn good oil and lucas oil stabalizer. Only if its in spec. How long did it run when u heard it start knocking

On top of plastigauge, use a micrometer to be very precise. And make sure no metal shavings from that bearing (if its chewed up) have made their way into the rest of the engine.

Depending on how long you drove it for (*Looks like you just dropped it in), I think that rod is shot. I would even say that it was bad in the first place. The play in that bearing looks like just more than a spun bearing (the rod my be terribly out of round). You are better off sucking it up and pulling the head or entire engine. I doubt you could just slap in a new set of bearings or even a 'crankshaft kit'.
