ok so i've heard good things about fluidyne. nothign really about Koyo. at least not from people with eclipses or anything. but what is the differnce between the two besides the price? i want to get a new radiator so i can run cooler plus i still have the stock one in my car, and i want to upgrade just about everything before i start to build my motor, or get a bigger turbo. so basicly everything like the radiator, all the hoses. rewire any bad wires in my car. change motor mounts. basicly repalce everything that the motor depends on. so is the fluidyne better than the Koyo or just cost more? and has it been proven its better?

You'll not realize an advantage over a stock radiator from Autozonepepkragenchiefgrandschuckboys, or one from 1-800-radiator. They will cost considerably more, though.

I got a great deal on my KOYO on Ebay. For the money I went KOYO.

The Koyo rad offers a much thicker core at 53mm vs the Fluidyne, at 38mm (for the 2g, not sure if the same specs for the 1g). Though either one will offer more capacity vs the stocker, plus you lose the crappie plastic end tanks. I have the Koyo, went with this one because of the thicker core & you can usually pick them up abit cheeper as well. Both the Koyo & Fluidyne offer excellent fitment.

If you want a thick core, go with the Koyo. If you want the Fluidyne, look at Punishment Racing's radiators since they are cheaper.

LOL i didnt even notice i was putting kayo, my friend called it a kayo when i was at his house i have no i just must of picked it up from him
ooops i mean koyo

On the 1G it's 38mm.

Again that's not the case with the 1G Koyo.

Keep in mind that the Fluidyne radiators are made to only fit their radiator caps. If you want something with a higher or lower pressure, I'd look into the Koyo. Both are great performers, just make sure you get the slim line fans to go with it.

Your thermostat determines what temperature your engine runs at, so long as you have enough radiator to begin with. The radiator only cools the water it's allowed to have flow through it, and the thermostat is the gatekeeper of that flow. Unless you're going wild with your engine buildup, or racing most of the time, the stock radiator's capacity will keep up. Especially if it's a new one.

Well, I didn't change the radiator so I'm assuming it is stock for 90'. However I did rebuilt the engine starting from top to bottom - stage 4 block and head, 280s cams, valvetrain, big turbo, meth kit and the whole deal.

I'm breaking in the car right now and I noticed the temp it quite high when I go at time. I'll certain have a problem with the car is full tune and don't know how to get by thte 3.5" FMIC in front of the radiator block the air if I do upgrade the radiator.

Try doing some ducting to the radiator. Make something that will direct all the air that flows through the intercooler to also flow through the radiator. I am personally going with an Afco radiator, which evil_eagle and some others run. It is a little narrower than the OEM fitment ones, allowing more room for intercooler piping.

Now, for another question.

Will they do a custom build? 1g radiator with 2g mounting points? I run a 1g radiator in my car because of my exhaust manifold and the 2g radiators hose placement issue.

Look into a Mishimoto from JNZ, thicker than both and cheaper.
