Hello guys, I have a 420a in my 1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS. I noticed this small red puddle under my car when I was looking at it yesterday. I have attached pictures and am wondering if anyone can help me identify this part so I can address the issue.

Now the car used to be red, but I really doubt it’s paint. It looks like it’s actually fluid since it had a distinct color and smell. Please help! Appreciate it<3

It's hard to tell from the picture but I'd say it is whatever sealant was used to seal the transmission pan. There are red sealants. It honestly looks like red n tacky grease but I'm not sure how that would end up on the pan.

The item you circled is the front diff cover. If it is leaking transmission fluid then you need to remove it and reseal it. No gasket is necessary, just use some sort of rtv black or grey is fine. I believe it had anaerobic sealant from the factory.

Whats circled is the transmission solenoid pack, they are externally mounted on the Chrysler product, is it actually dripping on the ground? if its not then it could just be the sealant oozing out from around the pan.

Is it a hard fix?
