What part is this?

I have a leaking oil seal on the passenger half shaft. What exactly is the name of the part to ask for? Where can i find it? Its been leaking since i installed the engine, im kicking my self for not replacing those damn seals. So dumb.
Oreilly guy said take one out and bring it up, but i want to call around to see who has them in stock. I asked for halfshaft seal. he kind of knew what i meant.

Are you talking about the Axle Seal? Or the CV Boot on the Axle itself?

Axle seal MD742053 its the same for both sides on a fwd

talondrvr, yes thats it. Thats the only seal there right? I mean, its probably whats faulty? I know theres a snap ring on the end of the shaft but i didnt think that holds oil back. That looked in good shape when i installed it. didnt check shaft seals since they were fine when i pulled the engine. Must have damaged the pass side on install. Love all these problems...

If you're calling parts stores, ask for passenger side output shaft seal.

Thanks, advance auto had it. They had dif part numbers for the drivers and passenger side though. One is all hard rubber and the pass side is like a main seal. Has a metal cup with a rubber inner part surounded by a spring. Ill know in a couple hours if its right.
Hey, the easiest way to get at this is pulling the lower control arm right? That should give me enough room to pull the half shaft? I know the drivers side is way harder and since its not leaking(as of now) im not replacing it.
Any tips on the best way to do this job? Thank you guys, much appreciated.

Should be able to just unbolt the spindle from the strut and that should give you enough play to mess with.

Got it. Undid the ball joint and that gave me plenty or room. The one they gave me looked slightly different but seems to be holding thus far. Now, i get to remove throttle body and find out why the PO put ####ing mud in the biss screw! Never ending saga.....
