What is this part?

what is this part, i ordered a evo 9 fuel pump and this was what i was shipped and i know this is not a fuel pump....the little package it is sealed in says MAP (boost) sensor 50PSI (3.5 BAR) Absolute pressure......im not aexactly sure what this is ive googled the picture of this thing and cant seem to find anything about it...could anyone out their shed some light on this?

You answered your own question. It's an absolute pressure sensor. Does it say what brand it is?

Seriously this instead of a fuel pump? Who did you order the fuel pump from, maybe I should put them on my "do not order from list"... Anyway here is the answer to your question: absolute pressure sensor.

i ordered it off of a EVO fourm, they had the picture of the fuel pump im guesing they just made a mistake but i wanted to see what this was and if it was worth keeping before returning it...could this be used in a mod in any way or is it just a stock replacement part
