Wrong. If you don't know the answer, don't post. You only make things worse by posting incorrect information.Engine Coolant Temp switch.
Correct. It is called the Thermo Valve in the FSM but is also referred to as a thermo vacuum valve, emissions thermo vacuum valve, thermal control valve, EGR Thermovalve etc. It is part number MD103867. It allows the EGR valve to function once the car is warmed up to normal operating temp.that is the egr vacum temp switch.. when car gets to operating temp it opens up and then functions the egr.. i had that same switch on my 90 california car
But I have EGR delete. Can I just leave that alone like it is or do I need to pull it out and put a plug in?
glad i could help on this.. im surprised though that you didnt at least have one vacum leak from it..that was a dumb design anyway for california cars
Weird. Is the little sensor on the bottom of the radiator on the passenger side next to the lower radiator hose a level sensor or temp sensor? I can't find a diagram.
thats why you are the wiseman... your right mine was federal its been so long since i had that car.. least i got 1 out of 2 right.. i agree flush that radiator and block pretty nasty!
It has nothing to do with California cars. All federal 1g's are setup like that.Sorry all of my 1g cars have had the ECTS on the water neck like that. I live on the entirely opposite side of the country and have never seen a cali spec engine.
Ok cool. I have a different setup on my fans so that thermo sensor is irrelevant to me.
