So I just did all the compression/leakdown tests and all the good stuff to my 6 bolt.. Everything is running great!!.. Just waiting for the rest of my parts to get here from SlowBoy so I can start modding..! Anyway i just ordered a crap load of parts and wanted to know what I should get next.. I'm driving a 90gst.. So far I have:

*-FMIC
*-SBR-G60 -ported
*-Tial 38mm WG - set for 1.1 or 1.2 bar
*-Evo III o2 housing -ported
*-Hafe cast SS 7cm manifold -ported w/ wg provision
*-FIC 850 cc
*-Wally 255hp
*-balance shaft eliminators
*-MBC
*-DSMLINK
*-VRS downpipe
*-Custom mandrel bent exhaust
*-Intake
*-GM MAF w/ Translator
*-COP
*-Aeromotive Fuel Kit.. (stock fuel rail)
*-Wideband
*-All supporting Gauges
*-Custom set Launch Kit (cars slammed. Have about 3" between body and the ground)
*-Hoosiers for the track
*-Stage 2 Methanol Injection
*-Skunkworkz cam gears
*- 272's
*-Fully built head w/ a hogged port and polish
*-From what I was told the original owner of the car bought a stage 1 shep tranny.. But for some reason i doubt it's in there.. Never seen one (even though it does shift amazing.. Not like any other dsm i've driven) so I wouldnt know what to be looking at to tell if it was..

Does Anyone know the highest boost you can run on stock pistons?!

Obviously i'm not stupid.. I'm going to be installing all of the above this week.. I'll take plenty of pic's so.. And I know to install it all, make sure it's running healthy and get it tuned.. But see here's my whole dilemma.. I don't want to get everything running great with the setup I have and start to do some more modding.. Is there anything else I could have forgotten?..

I did a whole tune up (belts, wires *which were useless i desided to get the cop*, plugs, fluids *flushed all and replaced with Royal Purple*.. all vacuum lines, hoses, ect).. So I know she's running strong!.. So what should be next..

I was thinking of getting the SBR manifold w/ a flange for the 90mm Q45 throttle body.. Please dont tell me to use the 75mm.. Its for a mustang.. AND I HATE MUSTANGS!.. Besides, bigger is better..

Just to let you all know I'm planning on boosting 28 lbs on this setup as my DD.. I even plan on pushing the turbo to the limits of 34 lbs all day on my DD..

ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED!.. We all know what it's like to finish a project and be so happy.. Then have to tear it all back down to fix or adjust or mod something else.. I've put too much money into this so far to just do things half ass'd.. especially since i still got a little money to spend..

Thanks !!

The last stock piston record I had heard of was upwards of 500hp to the wheels. That was when it simply broke, so having a power level up near there isn't likely to survive for too long. You might get lucky though. What that equates too in boost willd epend on your other modifications.

IMO, the stock throttle body or a ported 63mm is enough for a stock piston engine. For the gains you'll see your $$ would be better spent elsewhere.

But where?.. The only three bolt on's i know about still *off the top of my head* are msd 6al, throttle body and manifold.. Am I wrong?.. Other then that it's pistons and rods and thats it..!! atleast from what I know of like I said (not including the giggly gas)

Man with all the $$$ you are throwing at it BUILD the BOTTON END FIRST!!! with all the big buck items that you are throwing on top it is like using a 20lbs sledge driving a finshing nail. Somthing going to give (and I think the nail would be on the loosing endROFL)

Do the basices first a strong bottom end and beef up the drive train then worry about the FuFu on top.

Good luck

Well i'm almost positive if i roll the clutch.. the axles wont break on me.. Atleast while im on my hoosiers.. The bottom end.. Well the only way to do that is pull the motor and send it out.. There in not one single shop on LONG ISLAND worth paying to do the work.. And not for nothing i'd sooner abandon project then send my motor out because then thats atleast another month worth of down time.. I'd rather keep snapping or spinning stock rods... atleast IMO for now till i get a 4th dd...

When you start snapping rods and blowing out pistons you will be pulling the engine sooner than later and also have the chance of doing MAJOR dammage to your $$ parts.

AND then you will be :cry::cry:

No pics yet due to having a i730 nextel and no digit camera .. As soon as I can find someone with on i'll deff upload some though... Thats why I said i'd post them during next week cause my buddy will have his camera there...

Ehh the way I see it is if you spin/break a rod.. You're going to do it reguardless.. It's all in the crank from what i've gathered in my years and years of working on cars (havent learned first hand on a dsm yet though).. Having a good balanced, knife edged crank.. Your likely hood of spinning a rod or snapping one is dramatically decreased.. TRUE for DSM's?!
