I have a chance to pick one of these up but, cant get ahold of the guy selling it to ask any particulars on it. Anybody know what motor comes in the 94 gvr4's. It is turbo, red top with dual runner intake mani.

not a clue. guy says it came from a 94 GVR4, but who knows he may be wrong as well. The image shows a 4g63T, redtop, cyclone(dual runner). Just not sure if its a 6bolt or 7 bolt..

94 gvr4 is 2.0 v6 twinturbo. So if you saw 4g63t engine there it's not a 94 ;)

if its anything its a 3.0 twin turbo not a 2.0, the same engine as the 3000gt, and I find it hard to believe that they would throw that motor in the galant so way back, I knwo the 1999 jdm galant vr-4's had them but I doubt they started making them with v6tt that early

7 bolt, if you can the trannys are the best out there for awd dsms

If you get the tranny you need to get the JDM rear with it also. The center differential ratio is different from the rear differential of the USDM car, so you will burn up the center diff. in the tranny in about 15k miles if you dont swap rears.... just an fyi

Nopes, really 93-96 galant vr-4 is 2.0 v6 twinturbo about 240hp.
93-96 galant came with non turbo 2.0 v6 and 2.5 V6 4x4 models besides the vr-4.
Engine is 6A12, http://tinyurl.com/6kps3 (here)
