What modifications next?

To start off my car is a 98 gsx with a rebuilt motor 8 thousand miles ago, 130k on the body. The car is in pretty good condition, its suppose to have forged internals I guess I can't know for sure, injen intake, big 16g turbo, HKS blow off, 3'' inch catback straight pipe, and some other stuff that doesnt affect the egnine. My main hobby is motorcycles but couldn't pass up this car.. wondering where to go next? Could use some opinions. I'm not looking to put more that 2 more grand into this car

Budget has changed! Looking at spending more than that 2k now.. sold my ninja and putting it into the car! trying to get an idea of how much it would cost to go forged internals

Forged rods and pistons aren't at all necessary for your goals, and won't fit into a $2k build budget. Your looking at about $1K for decent rods/pistons alone. With machining costs, parts needed for assembly, and other "while it's apart" stuff, you could easily rack up $2k+ rebuilding your engine. I certainly did...

Which would be fine, I'm thinking of putting more like 6k into it now, but if hazmat is right and stock internals are good to 500hp then I wouldnt need too, thats way above my goals

Thanks for the tips on that one guys you just saved me tons of money.. just ordered the cable. Now I can spend the saved money on a boost controller.. The newer version of the greddy profec is tempting. Anybody used that with success? Or should I go manual boost controller

check out ecmtuning for how to install the boost controller, or grab one off the vendor sites there everywhere for varioius prices. Get a hallman and never look back. grab a hallman off the classifieds or vendor varies from 50 bucks to 80.

As of now I'm working on recirculating my Hks blow off valve so I can fix my idle issue. Then I have most everything I need to get me past stage 1. Mods will be...

Big 16g turbo
Ebay manifold
Front mount Intercooler
Hks sequential blow off valve(working on recirculating)
750cc Injectors
3" Megan cat back
Injen Intake
Wallbro 225 fuel pump
fuel pressure regulator ( know any good ones?? )
Tactrix to tune with
Manual boost controller
AEM boost and wideband gauge ( still need a 3rd gauge)

Anything else I need to get a good start?? After I get a good base to work with I'm going to get forged internals. I'm now planning to spend closer to 5-8 grand on this car. Thanks for input!
