I'm trying to help a friend get a logger set up for his car but I cannot figure out what palm SW he can use with this cable. It seems like it is short a wire or something. Any ideas anyone? I can solder new parts etc in if need be.

typical passive 1G datalogger cable but it looks like they used the red wire for the ground and the black wire for the data. That would be ass backwards from my perspective but I've seen worse things. The ground wire would also have the lead for pin 10 to switch the ECU into datalogging mode. The tech archive has an article on making a cable like this incase you need more information.

MMCd will work with that style cable.

Thanks Steve. I tried MMcd but it didn't work. I'll have to give it another shot. I think I'll replace that crappy blue crimp-on with something tighter like the other two connectors and see if that helps :thumb:
