The difference between a palm logger cable and a PC logger cable is the RX/TX pins (#'s 2 and 3) are switched... that's the ONLY difference. This can be fixed by using a null modem cable. These are available at radio shack...

The most highly recommended db9 to usb converter is the Keyspan brand. It is about 30 dollars if you shop around. It is the one I use and it works fine.

Cliff notes: keep your palm cable, buy a null modem adapter and a db9 gender bender if necessary, and get a keyspan adapter.

Of course, here in a minute someone's going to troll along in here and say to "just buy a dsmlink."

Well not the only difference, the connector sex is different too.
