I just bought a gst. The car came with a 3 inch downpipe. The downpipe is a vband set up. Is there a turbo that is around the size of a 16g that i can run with a vband set up. Is there a way to make a vband set up out of a 16g? Should i sell the downpipe and get a turbo and make another? (Also the manifold is a tubeular and not the stock log) Any input would be amazing.

Ok great. Ill have them up in 5 min. Ill go take them now

What do you guys think? The manifold isn't bolted on all the way. Almost all the way.

Does your mani have a factory flange? If so, I would get rid of the vband set up and get a downpipe to match a factory style turbo.

I've never seen a 16g with a vband o2. I would just remove the vband piece from the DP as it looks like it is just bolted to the DP, and install a 16g with a stock o2 housing.

Looks like someone was in a hurry to get that turbo off, that return line they snipped was a nice one..

IIRC, some of the FP Turbos are available with a DSM flange and a V-Band outlet. However it looks like you can pull that O2 adapter off and run a standard in its place.

should i make my own downpipe with the 16g. Or is there something that will bolt up there. And yes he was in a hurry to get it off LOL. I bought the car, he wanted to take his turbo off, so i said take it off and when you have it off ill give you the money. So he probably was in a hurry.

As stated, there is a flange on the actual down pipe that will likely bolt to the stock style o2 housing. You will never know until you get a turbo and o2 housing bolted on there. I would take that header and throw it in the trash.
