what kind of paint to use to paint transmission

Tirado was a powder coating company, so its either powder or it was media blasted before paint to get a perfect surface finish first.

I powder coated mine back in 2016, there's no paint to my knowledge that comes out as smooth and durable.

My "go to" is Krylon "Dull Aluminum #1403".
If you want it to look like aluminum, it is my favorite and I keep 3-4 cans on hand. It's durable and it resists fluids, or has for me. If you want it to have a "glossy" look you just spray a little clear over it and it's shiney. I shot a coat onto a water bottle so everyone could see how it looks.
The wheel center caps in the background have a light coat of clear on them, if you can see the slight shine.
