What Is Universal For Car Parts?? Help

hi all i know the meaning of universal but some meanings might be diffrent when it comes to cars, so does universal mean it will basically fit any car? i was on thepartsbin.com , and i got my car make and year , but when i search for some things its only universal. im looking for a automatic transmission gasket for the pan underneath, for my 92 eagle talon tsi awd turbo. if anyone can help on this i would apperciate it, Thanks

Universal doesn't necesarily mean it fits all cars. Just that it should fit most cars. I don't think a transmition gasket would be a universal part

Universal would be things like o-rings and certain sized bolts.
