I am trying to get my car to the point were it is all fixed up with no dings or dents and all the peices look nice. I don't have any pictures of my car right now so I posted a pic of another GSX with a circle around the part where my peice broke off. When it dents in...there is just a hole..I would like to get it replaced but cannont find where to buy the pannel without buying the whole door. Anyone give me the name of that one pannel peice on the bottom of the door..or a link where I can get them?

Hmm..everytime I look on the classifieds all I can find is the bottom part. If anyone has some 2gb Sideskirts with that peice included let me know. Or does anyone have a link where I can buy the OEM ones. I haven't had any luck.

The side skirt consists of three pieces on each side of the car. The lower one is called the skirt, the piece at the end is called the end cap, and the piece you need is called a door cap.

*p.s., that felt awesome. I remember not knowing that piece was called either (about 4 years ago) and dsmtuners helped me out too :thumb:

Instead of posting a new thread, I'll post here... My side skirts on both sides are faded like hell, from the stock red color to somewhere between red and pink. This really makes the car look bad imo... I was thinking about taking the off completely, because the paint underneath them looks fine, but then I'd have holes where the skirts used to be. Could paint them I guess, but thats not really my forte. Any thoughts, ppl?

Not to derail the thread, but do a search for 'roller paint job'.. have a buddy who followed the Mopar roller paint job prep instructions, and just lightly misted his front bumper (off the car) from a foot or two away with a rattlecan instead of rollering it... came out with an awesome result, looked like stock with seven or eight light layers, and two or three of clearcoat applied the same way, along with a bit of wetsanding. His was white though... mostly got lucky (we guess) as his rattlecans were 'America's Finest' from Home Depot. Truly amazing how well his came out. It's really not that hard to do yourself, either.

it is part of the side skirt. i had to buy one from mitsubishi and i thing\k it cost like 80 dollers.
