It appears to be a relay and you can mount that on the fire wall.

Picture of the pinning on the bottom would help me out way more.

sorry i was at work and couldnt take a diff view of the pic. But if it something called flux, is it necessary to bolt that onto something?

Since noone short of one person has added anything of substance to this thread I went to go look in my car and couldn't find anything of the sort in that area so it looks to be maybe something aftermarket as stated by Defiant.

just think how fast that car in back to the future could get up to 80 mph with a 20g turbo bolted up to it

Well no your not gonna find anything like that in your car since the engine bays are alot different not in size but in engine matter. hes running a 420a thats why u didnt see anything to that pic but on my old 96 rs i didnt have any sort of the relay so yeah defiant must be right. :dsm: :thumb:

Too bad all deloreans came with those type of doors. Those arent lambo doors either so leave the damn back to the future car alone haha

Correct, all Deloreans came standard with gull-wing doors. To the original thread poster, It looks to me like a relay for aftermarket fog lights. Do you have aftermarket fog lights? If you don't know what it is for, your best bet would be to simply bolt it to the firewall and leave it alone.

It's definitely a relay of some type, however the connection looks like some OEM type stuff. I'm all for tracing the wires back. Even if you come up at a dead end at the fuse box or distribution block, you can figure out what it goes to from there an decide if it's crucial or not.
