What is the tube on the backside of the intake?

Its the one that is on the intake side facing the driver, has a soft housing and is a rubber hose that goes down and looks like it almost disappears into the tranny (was too dark to see just goes back in that direction)

On a 2g.

I'm thinking he means the intake manifold and I would guess it's the brake booster hose.
