Found a 420A for sale all forged internals, bored .20 over, twin fuel rail, built motor, boosted, dyno'd at 480 horsepower at 14psi. It's only got 1400 miles on it. He is asking 1000 bucks for it. Does this seem legit?

with the amount of time and money he would have had to put in to get those numbers I'd say no it's not legit at 1000 bucks. But that being said.. definitely go take a look. Got a link?

says hes parting the car because of it being sideswiped so the 1200 may just be for the motor meaning no turbo no nothing but block and maybe head.

so if anything go check it out.

pull oil pan and look for forged rods, pull head and look for the pistons but you may be able to tell from under the pan or in the spark plug holes. and if the head is off its even better because you can check for scoring on the piston walls.

Im assuming just the motor because in the second sentence he says the turbo that WAS on it was a T33/TD04.

He said there is no turbo included but it comes with everything else, but thank you I will see what I can check out when I take a look at it.

I think somthings wrong with the engine, and 480hp at 14psi sounds far fetched. To abtain power like that at 14psi the engine would be making A LOT hp without boost. Any turbo caplable of this power level would not be in efficancy at 14psi anyway. Homeboy is blowing smoke up your ass. To good to be true, stay away from it.
