On the bottom of the 2G manual transmission is a dust cover, which when removed allows you to see the clutch fork, and more or less the throw out bearing.
In there, there is also some sort of metal clip that seems like it anchors the fork. It almost looks like a tripod, and clips into the metal side inside the opening.
Could someone tell me what that piece does?
I accidentally dislodged it, and when trying to re-insert it, bent the piece
... it is about time for a new clutch and throwout bearing anyway, I guess.
