After searching and searching, I am not sure what injectors would work best for a big 16G on a 95 2G.
They sell 550cc, 660cc, 750cc and even larger; all for the same price more or less. I am going to run an upgraded fuel pump, 3" exhaust and a fuel pressure regulator. I am not looking for a 1/4 time, but I would like to have around 280-300hp, and this will be my daily driver.

remember, the larger the injectors the more money you have to spend on something to control them. I say find some evo 560cc injectors. Those should serve your goal well.

Go with larger size injectors that way you will have room to spare if you plan on upgrading later. Spend the money now on one set and dont worry about it later.

I agree. Get the largest injectors that your tuning device can handle (whether it's the SAFC or DSMLink or AEM EMS).

Yes and no. For the tuner who is just beginning, those injectors will be suitable for a little while. However, I do not ultimately agree with this. What I have said here (to the best of my knowledge) holds true.

BTW Jake you need to fix your Dyno Sheet numbers. You can get into trouble posting up false information like that.

some people get away with 550's at no more than 19-20psi but if you want to run more than that you must go larger.

Evo VIII 560's run/flow more like 590-600cc and will help the situation, but 660's will end most questionable doubts of having enough fuel.

just make sure that with the 660's or above you have a reflashed/remapped EPROM or are running DSMLink.

While Kevin (95GSXracer) has also claimed this, I think the bigger issue is the duty cycle of upgraded injectors. Even if at WOT they were at (for example) 70%, it would be much more ideal if the injectors could be at 40% - hence getting the largest injectors possible for your application.

Well after reading this, I was wondering if my plan to run an evo III 16g, 650's, 250lph, and an safc2 is alright? How hard would it be to control?

Personally, I think the SAFC is complete garbage. That being said, if you need to save money and are looking for a relatively cheap way to "tune" the fuel ratio, and you are relatively new to self-tuning you engine, then the SAFC may be the choice for you.

However, in the long run, such programming systems as DSM Link will provide you with many more options. To the best of my knowledge, the SAFC cannot handle anything above 660cc injectors. In contrast, DSM Link can handle any size injectors you throw at it.

you can control 650s with the afc.. the only problem is that when you are modifying the airflow signal that much(making the ecu see less air so it adds less fuel) is that your timing begins to get out of wack when you are under boost. i believe what happens is that the ecu sees a smaller amount of air so it advances timing. in my casem this causes a lot of knock and then timing retards to like 5-6 degrees.

im currently running a GM MAFT setup and an afc for fine tuning, but i think i shot myself in the foot by doubling up on the piggyback devices. as soon as i pick up an eprom, i plan on running tunerpro on a pc with the moates ostrich eprom emulator. you might do some reading in to that setup...

The problem most of the time is that people aren't willing to invest $600-800 in a DSMLink setup. I agree that this is the best solution for 99.99% of the people out there...

However, you can get a logger+SAFC+550-650s+fuel pump for around $500 which will suffice for most people. Some people say "Don't do that, you'll have to buy twice." Injectors and SAFCs don't exactly lose value quickly.

By all means, if you have the funds, DSMLink the sucker for sure, otherwise, the SAFC will surfice for your goals.

Would I have to use an afc with the 560 cc injectors on the 2G eclipse? That would be nice, if I remember correctly, the EvoVIII runs at about 19psi stock on a 16G(not sure though).

I want to have everything ready for when my crankshaft comes out of the machine shop.
[I spun 2 rod bearings :D , so I pulled the motor and I am rebuilding it]. I would like to do an afc, but then it would bother me because a dsmlink would cost about 300 more. I do not want to buy twice. I would be able to afford the dsmlink if I wasnt rebuilding the engine.

On a side note, my 1G GSX remains outside my shop, waiting for me to finish up a few more projects so I can rebuild the transmission... one day(7 months,12 days and counting)
