what hp will this short block support?

im looking at buying a short block
the one im looking at
has 2g pistons on 1g big rods
its .020 over bore
crank is polished and balanced its not cut tho
balance shaft gone
im wondering how many hp it will support
im thinking around 450-500hp
any input will be appreciated

With a good tune and a quality engine build it could handle that amount of horsepower. I would think about using some ARP rod bolts as extra insurance.

heres some more info
its a used block with 200 miles
compresion check before it was installed the guy says was 145 145 142 150
has arp hardware oil squirters and gallies were cleaned
block was checked for straigtness but wasnt surfaced
what will i be looking at price wise for this block?
if i do buy it what all should i do to it before i install it

I dont like those low comp #s and also sounds like a cheap get it done rebuild. If it were mine I would rebuild it again so I know what I got. At this point you have no Idea.

thats what i was thinking
thats a diff of 8 between cylinders 3 and 4
i usually like to see them within 5 of eachother

How much was he asking? Hopefully not much.. I sold a perfect compression 50k motor to a member on here for $100 for the complete bottom end.. He traveled here and picked it up in person. I don't see how people are selling these engines at such steep prices like i've seen a few in the classifieds.

I would keep looking around, Or do a build yourself, It would not cost much.

arp main studs
arp head studs
cometic head gasket
balance shaft eliminator kit
clevite rod bearings
clevite main bearings
all for $1185
and i know a guy that owns a machine shop so i can get a good deal there
so ill ###### just build one
