What Happens If I Run Out of Nitrous While Using Nitrous?

Lopers in Phoenix did the install on my Nitrous kit, they did a great job, it was a simple wet kit so anyone could do it but I trusted them being it's lopers after all.

Anyways long story short, they told me, if I were to hit the activation switch and go WOT without the bottle hooked up, it would start a fire.

So now it lead me to thinking, what if my bottle is hooked up, I'm using it down the track and it runs out, would it start a fire too or is the Nitrous (holley sniper kit) smarter than that? I would imagine it wouldn't but I just have to ask.

I don't think anything would happen other than the car running overly rich from receiving the extra fuel but not the nitrous.

I didn't think so either. I mean these kits are designed pretty well these days, I just wondered why the owner and main guy of lopers said that to me? He did work on the car, so he ain't like just an 'owner' but he's an mechanic too.

nothing happens, run my bottle empty everytime when it's used, especially back on my 5.0 mustang. You feel it start to cut in and out and that's how you know it's time to dump another 50 bucks in the thing... gets pricey and is why i now only use itt to spool (or did)when running laggy turbos... turbo never needs "filled" N20 always seems to need filled...really though at ~100hp shot u will be lucky to get 4 full passes (1st through3rd/4th pulls) out of a 10lb bottle, probably cheaper to have a heroin addiction , you'll see and end up probably deciding the money is better spent on upgrades that are always there like cams andl larger turbo but the bottle is FUN!!!!!!!!
