can i use nitrous using my 13g?

well i have a 91 auto awd talon. it only has 63k miles and is in great shape. the car is stock and i was wondering if i could spray like 50 or 75 shot using the 13g turbo in my car. ofcoarse i would get a fuel pump/injectors. i will also have intake and exhaust. otherwise, all stock. so can i do it?thanks

You could spray it all stock but why? Your still not going to be going anywhere with that POS turbo. I would take the $500 you intend to spend on nitrous and get a used 16g or at least a 14b, a set of junkyard 450's, and try to locate a 2g mani and port it. Most people use nitrous because it is a great bang for the buck but you have a platform in which their are a ton of upgrades you can perform for cheap. Look into a bigger turbo, intake/exhaust, injectors and a fuel pump.

If you are on a budget get a used 14b, 450's, mbc, a 3'' downpipe, and a shift kit. Also re-wire the fuel pump and bring the car to the track running open downpipe.

He's completly correct. You can do most of that for $500. You wouldn't want to be spraying a car that has a bunch of other upgrades that will give you lots of power for cheap. Start there first then if thats not enough you could still spray.

But to answer a question yes you could spray on that setup if you wanted to. You will absolutly need a new fuel pump to start you couldn't possibly use your existing pump so change that first before spraying nitrous to start. I woudl also recommend a shift kit either way to keep the auto trans from falling appart.

well see... the reason im thinking about doing this is because mid jan. im going to get a 16g and front mount w/supporting mods. i will also be going for a dsmlink, shift kit end clutches and if i have enuf money left i will get a restall. the problem is that i have dont know how to install all this stuff and i wont try untill summer(after some auto tech classes) .so i dont want to buy a 14b and a mbc if im going for a 16g w/e/b/c in half a year. but see thats the thing,iv got the 600, 700 hundred bucks right now to get n20 and fuel mods.and my friend has installed a nitrous kit before and told me its easy and he would help me. but if my trans will be facked w/out shift kit then i guess ill hold up on the idea. gotta wait half a year to be "not slow"...
