What gen Alternator do I have? 1gina2g

I bought the car as a 1g in a 2g and a 95 dsmlinkd ECU, and the alternator is going on it.. but I don't know which alternator I'm supposed to get?

How do I identify which generation it is, or is it by default a 2G? I just want to be sure before I end up wasting cash.

Call your local parts house and see if they are the same by application/part number.

This would tell you if they are the same. As long as it's turbo to turbo you probably will be ok. If the 2 gen was non turbo 95and up they would be different as the 420a is a Chrysler unit and the power train control module regulates the voltage.
