basically I bought the car with a 1gina2g. Based on this, what generation alternator do I have installed on the car?

You should have a 2G alternator since they are ECU controlled on the 2G.

luvmygst said:More than likley it is a 2g alternator. The only diffrence is the plug I think. Switching to a 1g would be a pain, he probably just used the one that was on the car.
