I have a 96 GST, and a couple of weeks ago my car randomly started leaking oil pretty bad. I would have to put about 1 and a half quarts in a day, depending how much I drove it. But yesterday I was driving to work and it was running normal at first, and then the turbo started randomly making a weird noise every time it spooled. I drove a little further and it got louder every time, and then eventually wouldn't spool over 4 psi. As soon as I hit 4 psi the car would just jerk and the turbo would stop spooling completely. I kept driving and eventually it just stopped spooling completely so I figured my turbo blew. After that, the oil leak got extremely worse as well. It leaks about the same as before turned off but when I start it the oil just pours out. It's leaking on the driver's side of the car. I'm guessing it's the oil return line from the turbo, but I would like to hear what you all think it is.

check the turbo shaft play, also check the cold side for oil in the turbo as well as OIL in the IC piping. If you have much shaft play in the turbo, time to rebuild.

EDIT: where is it exactly leaking by?

does it look like it is leaking by the lower timing cover?

How about putting your car on jack stands and just starting it and then look? If it pours out as hard and as bad as you as it does then the leak should basically jump right out and say "HEY ! HERE I AM !" Then you'll have to take your car to a repair shop.

Good luck

Hope you didn't cause any damage to your engine driving it low on oil! I drove only 3 miles without knowing about an oil leak. Needless to say I had to replace my bottom end a few months later
