what do you think about these injectors?

This site may earn a commission from merchant affiliate links, including eBay, Amazon, and others.

I dont know anything about them all I have ever used was denso and RC's, Maby someone else has used them but i'd stick to brand name on injectors. Just my .02.

You find that a lot of people are running those PTE/FIC/Delphi injectors since they are cheap.

With any upgraded injectors you need some way to tune the car after the swap to correct for the increased fuel flow and dedtime. With this style injector you may also have issues getting them to seal in the head and with clearance for the electrical connectors.

If no one knows about them Im not going to take my chances, I rather spend $200 and some dollars on something I know what it is, also I know I need something to tune it but Im not really sure on doing it my self, I dont feel like I have the knowldege or the confidence to instal a safc that has been siting in my room for over two years now. I have the confidence to take a motor in and out but no to instal and tune an electronic device such as the safc! should I try to do it my self or should I find somebody that knows what he's doing? any sugestions steve, dsmgrimreaper.

so you are saying that these are good injectors and not some cheap brand correct?

The ad states "YOU ARE BIDDING ON A SET OF (4) PTE 680CC DELPHI INJECTORS". Yes, PTE is a common brand of aftermarket injectors that are used on DSMs. I have not "heard" anything bad about thier injectors. And as stated, you will need a tuning device for the 680s, they will NOT just "drop in and drive" by themselves. They are an inexpensive brand, but not some cheap POS.

Yes, the SAFC will work to control those injectors. If your not confident in your abilities to install and tune the SAFC then find someone who is. Get them to supervise your installation or to walk you through the process so you can learn. Same with the tuning. Even if you take it to a shop, if your cool with them, they will let you get a little insight as to how things work and what is going on.

hey brro thanks a lot, I dont see that happening, b/c I have only been to a shop once that was to instal my probec b, (I guess we are not like the honda guys that take their cars to a shop to change their wires:D) so not cool with any shop around, so yeah I guess Im all out of luck, but thanks anyway, Ill see what I can do

I see you live in dallas texas, I live in mesquite fredom dsm. If you want I can install you SAFC. I installed mine about a month ago, works perfectly. Just pm me if you want my help.

no, you CANT use a safc for those injectors. Your timing will be jacked....so you will need something to control the timing also. If you want to use a afc, i wouldnt go larger than 550's.

If you want to use those size injectors, you should get a DSMLink.
You will need a socketed Eprom Ecu to use DSMLink on your car. It will run you about 700 bucks for everything.
What turbo do you plan on running with those injectors?

And yes, PTE is a good brand. I have seen lots of people using them with no complaints.

1. Actually the consencious (sp?) is that the SAFC works up to 720cc injectors.
2. True, timing is affected, but someone that is truely able to tune will not have a problem.
3. Yes, IMO DSMLink is probably the best non-standalone system on the market for our cars. However, if you have nothing, a full Link setup will be closer to $950-$1000 after eprom ecu, laptop, Link plus socketing service.

well i doubt there are much (if any) people than can tune 720's with a safc.

and it would be 1000 dollars if you bought a laptop JUST for your tuning. You can borrow a laptop for free, since you only need it once.

ok the thing is that I dont want to spend a lot of money on my spyder, but I do want fuel pump, injectors and afpr if I need it and and maybe the 14b that my 1g has, and I want to do all this right, want 250+ or if I can squeze 300hp or close I'll be more than happy, you guys know what I mean?
