What do you call this seal?

What would the seal be called that goes on the transmission where the CV axles go into the transmission?

I believe thats called an output seal or output shaft seal.

I had to replace mine a long time ago and for some reason that's the terminology that pops into my mind.

Thats what I was thinking to, but I didn't want to call the parts store and sound like a dipshit.

Can anyone else verify this? Just to make sure.

Is this what you mean? If so, partsamerica.com just calls it a "Front Axle Shaft Seal."

don't worry about sounding like a dipshit to a parts store...they are just as bad and a lot of times worst! i like to make a fool outta those guys. They dunno shit around here.
