whats this seal called?

On the waterpipe where it goes into the thermostat housing, there is an o-ring around the waterpipe. Is it just called the waterpipe seal? Cause i need a new one and gotta know what im looking for at the parts store. thanks.

A friend and I just went to NAPA and told them what we needed and they got one for us. It is the one that goes from the pipe to the water pump right? I can't recall the technical name for it but if you describe it to them they should get it for you.

it's just called an o-ring as far as i know

That is what i thought but wasn't sure if there was anything else to it.

yeah no fancy name here, just as it is, all you need to know is the application and they can get the size

No it is the one that goes from the water pipe to the thermostat housing (on the battery side of the engine)
