What do I need for 16g upgrade?

For a 16g you dont need anything it will do fine like that, but it is recommended that you rewire the stock fuel pump at least, and most people get the 190 or the 255 to be on the safe side since the 16g does flow more air.. for the 190 you dont need a FPR for the 255 you do.. injectors you dont need to replace, but if you get bigger ones you need at least safc to tune them with.

with a 190 fuel pump you do not need a fpr but with a 225 you will. larger injectors either 550 or bigger. some sorta tuning device piggyback SAFCI or II dsmlink something. this has been discussed many times. you can also go to RRE they have a great site explaining it.

look down VVVVVV at the bottom of this thread and click on the other topics. good luck

why would you not upgrade the injectors unless you plan on hitting fuel cut every time you get into it. plus you take a HUGE RISK of leaning out your motor.

" be on the safe side since the 16g does flow more air"

that means you need more fuel mmmm.

He doesnt NEED them to run the 16g, I know a lot of guys that do fine with the 16g and stock injectors at 14-15 psi, but yes if you do want to turn it past that definately bigger injectors.. at least 550's

unless you run a higher flowing fuel pump and factory boost, since that will make up for it and the factory tune is a little rich. If the boost gets turned up at ALL, you will need more fuel mods. plus the 16g is not efficient at 10 psi comparend to the high teens you can run with injectors and an safc or dsmlink

You should ask yourself how far you want to push a 16g. Once you know the answer, research on how you can achieve that goal.

Yeah if you want to up the boost at all I would go with a 190 pump rewired, 650 injectors, tuning device. Once the power goes up however, you will need to start looking at intercooler, clutch possibly etc. 550cc injectors will be fine for moderate boost levels, however 650's being basically the same cost, no sense in buying twice if you decide to go bigger later.

Don't forget your logger, if you go the SAFC route! Other wise you're taking shots in the dark when trying to tune. DSMLink is a whole different story...
