Hey guys,
i really need some new tires, i can get 4 hankook ventus HRII 205/55/16 for $220 new and i really need new tires and don't want to spend $400+on tires.

What exactly determines how good a tire is for peformance?
What do the numbers and letters on them mean?

What's the best cheapest longest lasting tire out there?

I usually drive live 5,000-6,000 miles a year, yes a year, so take that into consideration.

Thanks

Checkout www.tirerack.com; there is more information there than you can read in a lifetime. You can find general reviews, performance road tests, customer opinions, customers with cars just like yours and what they thought of the tire. It's wonderful! The prices are very good too, shipping is quick. I've ordered three sets of tires from them and it's been a pleasure.

Different tires do different things, some are good on dry pavement, some on wet, some on both. Some corner better, some are quieter, some have longer treadlife. It's a complex subject.
