What color to paint my car? [Merged 4-8]

Your red is sweet how it is but if you do change it, go yellow. You never see it and its so rare and really stands out. I like it a lot, some other may not but oh well

Well, it will come a time when i will repaint my car, and I was wonder, what color do you guys suggest. I was thinking gray flames on a white(like the go around the hood, probably look really good). But then i had this crazy idea with going with a laser red and doing some fancy design in black.

do bright green with a blue "eagle" decal sticker on the side...then purchase a blitz body kit and a park bench wing...with LOTS AND LOTS OF NOS STICKERS

Ghost flame = light pearl paint laid over the body color, usually a shade different.

The door jambs need to match the outside of the car, as do the engine bay and hatch. If you don't paint these bits, they look silly when opened (picture a red car with white jambs). THis is a lot of extra work that most folks overlook.

Ah, there you're down to taste. I tend to agree with you -first time I saw a CF hood, there were bunches of WTF question marks shooting out of my head. But to many, it seems to pass for "style". Maybe a harkening back to the Road Runner and the Opel Manta? Phantom F-4?

I had a Supra II with the black hatch on a white car, it was actually fairly stunning, once you became accustomed to it. Up until the theft/burn job made the rest of the car match it, anyway

I have ghost flames on my car across my hood and fenders you can look at my pics to see how you like it. Theres a pic titled ghost flames you can see them when light hits the paint, take a look.

no seriously you should do black with some really dark grey, almost black flames going from the front wheel wells to the back of the fenders.

thats sorta how I feel. especially on an import. i suggested he do black /flames, but i kinda feel like they belong on an old muscle car running 400 hp.

It was an '81, mostly used up but still going. They took it from the driveway the day my house purchase closed. Took off the factory mags with the new, cheap-o Dunlops, put factory mags with worn out tires back on, and burned it. Welcome to exotic Stockton.

i am looking to paint my 97eclipse black by the next summer. im thinking about going with the same black as on the acura rsx's but i was just wondering if anyone out there has ever seen a really nice looking tone of black on any car that would go good on a 2g. thanks for the help.
