Are you going to actually use the cam gears and degree them or are you just getting them for looks?

Well I am getting cams so I want to get the gears too. I would have a dyno place tune my car....I thought degreeing cams was when you just advance or retard them.

Check out the link I posted for how to properly do it. It's more than just turn them one way or the other. Yes, you can do it a not-so-proper way using a dyno and comparing one pull to the next, but that could get expensive and just be very time consuming.

If I just keep them how they come, would that be like how my stock gears are? It wouldn't hurt anything.

Given that mostly everything in your bay is red, keep it up and get them red, although chrome would look sick too
