Ok so it was time for new tires so I decided to sell my wheels and buy some new one :) Since I always wanted to end on Hoosier QTP for my 2gen I decided to pick the wheels I'll need in the futur and run them on the street until the big time comes. The best thing is that the seller from who I bought the wheels wasn't able to give me 4 wheels of the same color so I hade an awesome deal for 3 GunMetal and 1 SportBronze

Don't really care since my best friend will powder coat them the color I want for free :D

What color should I go since I'll also use them on my 2 DSM to begin since the 2gen is mostly drag and week-end. And maybe used on both car for drag racing who knows what I'll do in the future ;)

I'll also be using aluminum lug nuts so that's why the color is so important, I tough going all black could be too much but I wanted to confirm.

You can't go wrong with a bronze wheel on a white car!

I really like the new wheels. MUCH better than the old ones. I never cared much for five, thin spoked wheels on a DSMs.

Bronze or black.

Thanks guy, keep telling your idea ! :)

Ho and by the way the tail isn't teinted, it's just that it wasn't installed when I took the picture LOL ;)

Ok I'm pretty set on black with a clear coat so it doesn't look flat at the end of the year ... What about the color of the lug ? Black lug nuts on black wheels is too much ? Should I go with chrome since the I have a set of metal valve stem in chrome ?

Thanks :)

I think black would look sexy. Don't forget, though...the baking process required to finish the powder coat would weaken the wheels a little. I'm not familiar with those wheels, so I don't know if they are plain gravity cast, low pressure gravity cast, etc.

If they aren't at least low pressure cast...you may want to tread lightly with the powder coat.

DARK bronze rims like this color. Almost a "burnt gold". That color with black open ended lugs.

Gunmetal is my vote. With it on your car, it will give you that sneaky, high tech tuner look. :hellyeah:

On my white 3G I went with Dark Gunmetalic (might as well had called them black) wheels. Someone mentioned Kawasaki green and Lambo orange, while I like those colors on white cars I couldn't do it as they draw too much unwanted attention here in NYC. I see you've chosen black but if you don't have to concern yourself with that attention then I'd consider it if you haven't already.

I like Bronze or Black. If you are going to do the Calipers in a Contrasting color. say White, or Red go Black. If not go with the Bronze.

I'm honestly considering it for the Green 2G I just picked up. LOL

They'd be popular with the VW/Honda crowd.

Bronze would be my choice too for what it's worth!

Have you considered black with a hot pink rim? haha And you aren't kidding when you say they'd be popular with the honda crowd. Guy I know built this civic, and while he had about 10 sets of wheels on the car while he had it, at one point he had a flash of pink, green car too! haha
