Hey everyone! Just bought my first DSM, has a crazy ACT clutch in right now and I'm looking for something a bit more streetable, while also being able to handle a decent amount of power. Been looking at some Stage 2 options (Exedy, South Bend) and before I purchase anything just wanted to get some recommendations. Thanks!

I currently use the Southbend kit that TMZ Performance sells. ACT Streetlite Flywheel, Southbend SS Series Pressure Plate, B-series full face ceramic disk. OEM TOB.

I couldn't be happier. It holds great, clutch pedal pressure is like OEM, I can slip it and drive it with ease. Holds my FP Green just fine. Just make sure you have 100% OEM TOB, clutch master cylinder, and slave cylinders. No aftermarket replacements, as the Southbend stuff is finicky with aftermarket parts.

Clutches aren't one size fits all, so asking what everyone runs won't really help. You need to mention the mods done to the car and what kind of power it's making, then we can give a much better recommendation.

Regarding the SBC stuff, here is a useful link with many customers posting their experiences. It may help you in deciding. Otherwise, feel free to just PM me or email me at [email protected] and i can help you with finding the best streetable clutch option for your setup. If you could please fill out your member profile with the modifications / power levels for your vehicle, and it will help us with your application.

Thanks!

I have an ACT 2100, 6-puck sprung disk, and ACT flywheel. It's taking me a little getting-used-to as I haven't driven a DSM in almost 16 years until recently. According to ACT's website, it should hold 415 ft/lbs.
I bought some non-slip clutch and brake pedal covers to help improve feel, and keep my shoes from slipping on the pedals. Helps to ensure I push the pedal ALL the way to the floor, and that my foot doesn't slip, and help with heel/toe braking and rev matching.
