Hello. can only post here because i dont have enough posts been on here awhile learning and reserching but not posting

One thing that confuses the hell outa me is what injectors are beset for me more of the cc not the brand that im concered with

bought the car half built and still getting to know all the parts i havent found out that are in it yet haha this is what i know so far

its a 1g swap with a td05 1g turbo still internally wastegated it has a front mount with a greddy type s bov with eagle rods and wiesco pistons and arp studs and a built trans i have stock 1g injectors in there now (390cc)

my plans for this car is no more than 400 ish horse at the top

dont know weather 550 will be all i need or if i should just go with 880cc's

thanks guys in advance

1g manual injectors(blue top) are 450's..2g injectors are 450's(black top)..And 1g auto injectors(tanish) are 390's.

500's would be pretty limiting..If you are using pump gas or e85 will help you make decision..

880's will give you more room to grow on pump gas..

For tuning go with http://www.ecmtuning.com/

thanks for the fast replys haha im going to be getting v3 lite with a eprom ecu and whatever guages and fuel managment stuff i need i will be running 93 octane at the most..

this is a compleat rebulid over winter got alot of stuff need to take care of piece by piece when my paychecks come

planning to do the ecmlink got new intercooling piping getting new fuel rail and intake manifold with new injectors wideband hks super s bov

if i upgrade the turbo gonna do a tial 38 mil with new exhaust manifold still figuring alot out of what i compleatly want to do but the injectors are way to small

yeah i guess they threw in auto injectors on a stickshift car awesome haha

Do yourself a favor: set your future goals now, then build your fuel system. Or you will be throwing money away.

If you have link you can tune for damn near any injectors you want. Get the biggest ones you will conceivably need when flowing @ 80% IDC. Then find a pump that can comfortably support that airflow at whatever boost the turbo you choose will require to make that power.

Basically if whatever your goal for power is, if the compressor flow map for your turbo of choice says that mass flow comes at say 35psi, make sure that the pump you are choosing can support that much air at 35psi + base fuel pressure.

If you have your BFP set at 43psi, make sure the pump can support that mass flow at a combined fuel pressure of 88psi (35psi boost + 43psi BFP)

The pumps capability will also be dependent on the voltage it receives under full load. If It's only seeing 11.9volts because you have the crappy 20year old stock wiring running back there, you will need a considerably larger pump, than if you can get it to see 13.9volts under load.

1000cc's will support almost everything a well tuned, streetable stock block can handle. After that (500+hp) you'll probably be spending serious dollars anyway, and you won't care that you need mega injectors or a 2nd set. They will idle like stock with link, or any other form of tuning that edits the eprom.

It is better that you don't hit the limits of the 1k's than find out that your (equally priced) 880's aren't going to cut it when you want an E85 tune.

Yeah Im trying to research when I'm not working main problem is that I haven't decided if I want to stay with the stock turbo or go with a bigger one weather that would be a 16g or gt35r haven't decided

16g and Gt35r are very different LOL. If you want 400ish go with a 16g it will make for a fun street car.

Yeah I know there completely diffrent the only reason I don't want to o with the 16g is because ALOT of Dsm owners go with that and I like to be diffrent than the crowd I can afford both set ups just don't know how much more I want to throw at this project haha

There is a good reason for that. :)

Exaclty..Cheap, MHI made,Great bolt on turbo's, quick spooling, abundant, easily upgradable to a 20g wheel...Do I need to keep adding to the list why so many choose 16g's..

Just quoting Calan So he didn't have to ramble on with a list..

However fun the 16g may be, it'll take a great deal of tuning and modifications to get a solid 400hp out of the e316g. I personally would suggest something a bit larger if you have a 400hp goal, you will have a bit more lag, but it will become easier to hit your goal.

As said, get larger injectors than what you think you may need. If you have ANY consideration of running E85 then go with at least 1150cc. I would suggest just starting with 1150 or 1250cc injectors especially since you are going to be using Link. They will have all the room you need to grow and then some.

I suggest going with Fuel Injector Clinic for injectors.

Agreed, and good point.

I don't know why, but it seems that everyone these days thinks that you can just bolt on a E16g and plop down 400whp. It takes a hell of a tune and a good setup to get that out of a 16g, especially with any consistency.

And :f-u:

LOL

Ok well say screw the 16g, cause it's like teenagers and smoking cigerettes..

Anyone, fully endorse the 68hta other than me? Not mentioning price, cause I know you guys are sticklers for giving me crap..

With a walbro 255 fuel pump, 1000cc injectors, I like FIC there numbers are like dead onm and with a evo3 16g witout cams and supporting mods you most likley will need race gas or E85 to get 400 safe. Most likley looking at the 300 range unless you plan on spending a boat load of money. If you look at my profile I am right at 300whp on pump gas and that's fwd, so that should give you some idea what to exspect to get.Just remeber parts start braking around this point more often, so keep it safe and do it right. Also have fun with wheel spin at that amount of horsepower, I don't know if you know if there is a lsd in your car but you will get wheel spin.I prefere something more laggier then a 16g on a fwd, but still fun non the less.

Bullseye S259 in the .55A/R bolt on turbine housing would be a good match. Quick spool, can do 400whp EASILY on pump gas. Plenty of room to grow.

I also second the idea of going for 1150 injectors or larger.

The 68HTA is nice, but it's still basically a 16g. The 10 second pass with it was a highly gutted vehicle IIRC.
