what brand of pistons are these?

I want to know what brand of pistons are these, they have a little dot or point on top and i don't know about a serial number because is maybe covered for the carbon deposit. i think they have to be forged cus also have eagle rods.

Is that carbon deposits or pits?? its hard to tell in the pic. If its carbon, take a scotch brite pad and scrub them off to see a part number and re post.

They look like 8.5 or 9:1 by the look of the dish.

iIs carbon deposit but i think i doesnt say anything underneath, I had never seen a pistons with a dot like that thats why i think it will be easy to identified.

the dot is for orentation in the block, the dot faces forward.
so the valve reliefs will be in the on the proper side, so you will not end up with bent valves.

Lots of pistons have dots or arrows cast/stamped on them

I agree with Joe. Try cleaning up the dish of the piston to see if there is a part number on it. If we can get the part number, we can verify the compression ratio. I know Wiseco etches their individual piston part number on the dish of their pistons. I don't know if other piston manufacturers do or not, but I assume many of them do.

Ross pistons have their number stamped in the dish as well, so check that out a little better to see if you can find a number.

Yup, those are standard bore 8.3:1 7-bolt Wisecos.

My numbers are a little different. Mine still have m85, reaffirming they are standard bore I suppose. But they are 8.3 pistons, I though. 8.3CR is on my invoice. Yet the number is 6559m85 and 2171d.

. . .But they do look like they have the same dish. They look like the same valve relief shape as yours Paul. I ASSume the valve relief would be different with a smaller dish.

I was cleaning the pistons but im not sure if some little dirt or carbon deposit got on the rings if so how can i clean that?
