What are these parts called?

Ok first im looking to buy a new windshield part. Its the metal and rubber peice that you need to take the wiper blade off to get it off. Also 6 screws holding it in...Its rusting and the rubber aginst the windshield is breaking off.

Next this one is hard to explain but here i go. Its the metal strip by the glass in the door. Its got rubber on it and its pealing off the metal. Its not touching the glass im sure its a common problem and someone might know the name.

Sounds like a wiper cowl to me, but im pretty sure the cowls are plastic, atlest on a 2g they are. But pictures would be great!

Not sure about the first peice hes talking about but i think the second peice is this

see the silver strip above my door window it used to have black rubber over it but it pealed off of mine also.

1st one is the wiper cowl which on a 1g is metal and you can pull it off, sand it down, prime and paint it to look good as new again.

Then the second one is the window trim at the bottom of the window. It is common for these to lose their coating and they are discontinued and are not available anywhere unless some shop has some sitting on their shelf somewhere and is not affiliated with any other dealers around that shares their inventory. Best bet on those is to pop them off and sand them down, prime and paint them also. Good luck

Yeap, mines doing the same thing. how easy is it to pop those window peices off that have the rubber coating. We took off that wiper cowl and painted it with spray paint. it doesn't look wonderful, but its not rust color either.

OK you guys coverd it all but on the wiper cowl there was a broken price of rubber i need to find something to take its place

I just removed the rubber and haven't had it on there for a year now. But you might go to a hardware store and look at their weatherstripping to find one that might be close to what you need.
