I need some help on what parts these are and if I need them. They are emissions related.

1. k5t60871

2. k5t48294...some kind of sensor

3. k5t58885....looks like a EGR something

4. k5t43988...another sensor...fuel pressure sensor? ...would I need this with a fuel lab AFPR?

Thanks.

1) EVAP Canister Purge Valve. Used in conjunction with the charcoal canister for fuel tank vapors.
2) EVAP Purge Solenoid Valve. Usually throws a CEL if unplugged. Used in the emissions system.
3) EGR Sensor. If it is blocked off, no issue's with having it off.
4) Fuel Pressure Solenoid. Used for cold starts. Not really needed for anything other than that. If unplugged with throw CEL.

You can remove them all and the corresponding codes with ECUFlash.

No but what is your reason for a new fuel pressure regulator? Is yours bad?

Thats no reason to upgrade it though. Your stock one should hold an upgraded pump just fine.

The function of fuel pressure regulator K5T43988 is only to regulate the fuel injectors to 43psi (3-bar), that's all.

Basically, it is the ECU that controls this solenoid, when it is "closed the vaccum" it will leave full fuel pump pressure, when it is "open the vaccum" it will in a think way "suck" the fuel pressure regulator using the manifold vaccum reducing fuel pressure on fuel rail.

Now in few words, it is an electrical controlled solenoid to close and open vaccum to fuel pressure regulator, regulating thus the fuel pressure to the desired pressure!

IT DOES NOT HAS NOTHING RELATED WHEN THE ENGINE IS COLD OR HOT,

IT IS THE EGR THAT IS RESPONSIBLE WHEN ENGINE IS COLD AS IT USES SOME EXAUST GAS, ALL THOSE SOLENOIDS ARE CONTROLLED BY THE "ECU".
