I have a 1999 auto gsx engine harness that I am making into a tucked harness, I was using the Engine Bay Connector Identification thread and it was amazingly helpful. Unfortunately it was missing some connectors that are on my harness. The harness is stripped and I have no way of knowing the placement of the connectors in the engine bay so I am hoping someone can eyeball the connector by shape and wire color. I have the Factory Electrical handbook but it doesn't really go in to wires and connector shape. Some of these connections I may not even need, but I would rather find out now rather than later.

Hopefully someone might just know.

1-2 is fans or o2 sensor I think.
third is from main harness to fuse box. 4-5 go to thermostat housing I believe. Can you show the whole harness and locations of connectors. That way we can see where they are near easier to tell.

I can look at my 98 in the morning for ya. Hard to tell where in the harness those plugs are. If you can show me I can tell you what they are.

Ok 4th is the same connector for the evap purge solenoid to ecu, only diff is wire color.

Where does #3 plug in to the car in the engine bay, is it on somewhere in the transmission? Any chance for a picture of that in the bay?

Edit: I've confirmed that #3 plug is Nuetral safety switch plug, thanks.

As for the others, I am not sure if you even looked, probably not, but they are also not in the thread simply compare wire colors.

Ah,

Yes I did not look thru the thread to compare the other pictures. I knew the auto plug cause it had me stumped for a week when I was putting together my car. At some point my Talon was converted to 5 speed so imagine my surprise when I had this big connector with nothing to plug into.

I'll see if I can help narrow down the other connectors.

Thank you, I also realized from some research after you identified the connector that the reverse lights are there as well, great to know.

I have identified what the last 2 connectors are, #4 is the A/T fluid temperature sensor and #5 is the Kickdown servo switch.

I hope these connectors can be added to that thread so we can create a COMPLETE go-to picture based wire harness guide.

I've done it! #1 is the Pulse Generator and #2 is the ELC 4-speed Automatic Transaxle Control Solenoid Valve! Thanks for the help guys, I will upload the proof that these connectors are what I say so that people can possibly use them in the future.
