what are the wires that come out near the coolant temp wires

well i just got my dsm out of storage. im trying to rewire the coolant temp sensor as i belive i have a split in the wire somewhere. anyways as i pull the whole wiring harness out to start removing the coolant temp wires. (the black with grren stripe and green with yellow stripe) i see two oter wires that are coming out of the same harness as well. they dont have a plug on the end of them but it looks like the plus has been cut off. and no its not the oxygen sensor wires as i thought it was. so what could it be

I don't recall how many sensors there are right there but I know there are at least two. One is for the coolant temp gauge and one is for the ecu. The one for the ecu has a plug with the terminals at a right angle to each other.

ok ill try to take pictures. but i pulled the codes from the ecu and it is the coolant temp sensor. and the temp gauge in the dash works fine.
so anyone know what the damn wires are. its killin me
