What are the effects of a manifold leak?

as the heading states what happens with manifold leak on 420a turbo. Would you still see boost yet will it hang (hold at psi raiting )?

if this is a dum question sorry its just that my turbo kicks at start off but seems dead after that boost hits at first then psi raises and then stays there untill gas is released?
